2022 Harris Edwardes Interclub Competition

The 2022 Harris Edwardes Competition -- the CAWA's official interclub chess tournament -- will be played on Sundays 21st and 28th August.

The competition venue is Leeming Primary School (Southern Suburbs Chess Club). Tournament entry is free, and perpetual trophies are awarded to the winning teams in each division. All games are ACF-rated.

Once again, Southern Suburbs Chess Club will be entering teams in each division.

The club was well represented in this tournament in 2021, with 15 SSCC players competing for the club's three teams. The club finished runner-up in the Open Division and won both Divisions B and C.

We hope that as many club members as possible will choose to play for the club again in 2022!

Each team consists of 4 players, plus reserves. Players do not need to form their own teams: the club will do this. If we have large numbers of players in any division, we will enter extra teams in that division so that all interested players can participate.

More information will be available closer to the time.
